Statement from Rhodes Birthplace Trust Chair regarding potential new arts venue

As Chairman of the Rhodes Birthplace Trust I would like to reassure our valued patrons, hirers, customers and visitors that Rhodes Arts Complex, encompassing thestage, thescreen, themuseum and all our other functions will continue to trade as normal. At the moment, the Trust continues to work in partnership with East Herts District and Town Councils in regards to the potential new art venue at the Old River Lane development.

Up until any potential relocation of the arts centre business, Rhodes Arts Complex will continue to provide the wide-ranging programme which Bishop’s Stortford and surrounding areas has come to love – as demonstrated through you, our loyal audiences and visitors. We also look forward to welcoming new users to the Museum and Arts Complex as the Town and surrounding areas grow and develop.

If you would like to learn more about the potential relocation, there will be a consultation at Rhodes Arts Complex open to the general public on Saturday 12th May (11.30 – 12.30 and 12.30 – 1.30). We welcome you along to this event to discuss the ideas and proposals for the new arts centre.

The brilliant team here, led by Operations Director Paula Holland, will continue to deliver our unique brand of customer satisfaction at this current site.
