With hire spaces for events hosting 10 – 400+ attendees South Mill Arts will be able to offer a bespoke package to meet your needs.
Tables/chairs can be arranged to suit your needs. We provide flipcharts, projector screen and water as standard at no extra cost. In addition we also offer the following services:
– A personal Event Planner to assist you with your booking
– A digital projector screen available to hire (chargeable in Auditorium)
– Tea, coffee and biscuits available to order at your convenience
– A recommended list of caterers
– A fully licensed bar
Our dedicated Event Managers can plan and execute your event with support both during the booking/planning process and on the day.
Auditorium
The 300 seat Auditorium is suitable for large scale events, exhibitions and conferences.
Equipped with mechanically operated racked auditorium seating, full sound and lighting system, 4k digital projection screen (available to hire at extra cost), tables/chairs can be provided and arranged to suit your needs
The Main Hall is also available to hire for theatrical performances – please contact us for details.
Linden Room
With a capacity of 20 this space is suitable for smaller meetings or events

Cedar Room
With a capacity of 70 this bright and spacious room with floor to ceiling windows is suitable for medium size events, groups or club meetings and seminars. Tables and chairs can be arranged to suit your needs and flipcharts, projector screen and water are provided as standard at no extra cost.
Dance Studio
The Dance Studio is available to hire at very competitive rates and is suitable for a variety of classes – dance, exercise or drama – and is also an ideal rehearsal space.
Features include floor to sound system, ceiling mirrors, ballet barre and a sprung floor.
ArtSpace
Calling all artists! Get your artwork seen by hundreds of visitors to South Mill Arts. Our fantastic ‘Art Space’ is now available to hire at very competitive rates and offers an affordable option to artists who want their work to be seen by the general public.
Gilbey Room
The Gilbey Room on the ground floor is available to hire at very competitive rates and is suitable for a variety of classes – dance, exercise or drama – and is also an ideal rehearsal space.
Maltings Bar
Themed to celebrate our town’s industrial heritage, the Maltings Bar is open all day and serves a selection of coffees, teas, soft and alcoholic drinks. Groups meet in our bar area regularly – whether for business or pleasure. If you are a group and would like to arrange refreshments or lunch, please speak to one of our Event Managers as we have a list of recommended caterers.
