March ArtSpace Exhibition

Our March ArtSpace Exhibition is now up and running! Artists Grace Lawrence, Nicky James and Aine Corr are currently displaying a wonderful selection of work.

Grace Lawrence

Grace Lawrence is a Multidisciplinary Artist and Model Maker based in Bishop’s Stortford. After studying to be a Stop Motion Animator and then training as a Model Maker, Grace now uses her varied skillset to create all kinds of art, from unique home decor pieces to intricate miniature models.

Nicky James

Many years ago, I trained as a Graphic Designer. But the universe had another path for me, as I left art college in the middle of a financial recession. As I needed to work, I took a job in Hertford and on the 1st, day met my husband to be. Two children later during lockdown I started to draw again, using just coloured pencils, it became my calm time. As we were at home and our homes became our safe places, most of my art depicts quiet homes with tiny intricate interiors. In each there is a mouse, and normally a hobby (binoculars for bird watching for example) or a kitchen utensil. Tiny details to look up close for. I love depicting friends’ homes or special places such as the church, in illustration form but with a personal item somewhere for them to find. Each piece takes time to draw. But I hope that my quiet illustrations make people smile and just have a moment of calm.

Aine Corr

Aine Corr is a contemporary painter based in Essex, known for her vibrant and eclectic works. She studied Fine Art Painting at Brighton University, graduating in 2002. Her experience as an art educator from 2003 to 2014 instilled in her the philosophy that art should be accessible and enriching, serving as a source of escapism and optimism for the future. Humour, joy, and a healthy irreverence are key factors in her artistic practice.
