This summer’s museum activities are all themed around the Romans and so we wanted to choose an icon that was suitably Roman but equally eye-catching.  The perfect answer was sitting right here in our collections – a beautifully preserved Roman gold coin.  With a few “magic” digital tweaks, our Marketing team have changed the legend on the coin and given us a lovely shiny icon for us to use for our trails, in our craft sessions and on our social media posts.  Please click on the miniature fact sheet for a full sized copy telling you more about the original coin
