Today we got to spend some time with the fabulous Bishop’s Stortford branch of the Royal  British Legion ladies group when we joined their meeting to give a talk on Dining in the Roman fashion.  The talk looked at the ettiquette of dining as well as the challenges of producing a large meal using hot coals on a cooking platform and finished by discussing some of the types of wine enjoyed with a meal.  After the talk we were treated to tea and home made cakes – what’s not to like?
