Arts Society of Bishops Stortford.
Our
meeting on 12th May at South Mill Arts at 10.40 a.m. with coffee
from 10 a.m. is by Caroline Levisse on Scandinavian Landscape Painting from
1840 to 1910.There is something special
about the vastness, wilderness and remoteness of Nordic nature which makes it
so fascinating. This lecture explores
the ways this has been shown by Danish, Norwegian and Swedish painters mirroring
a national identity or the artist’s inner world.
Come
and be entertained, amazed and enlightened. Visitors are very welcome for which we invite a donation of £7 – cheque
