In memory of Mr Wally Wright who was the honorary curator of the Bishop’s Stortford Local History Museum founded in 1979 at Cemetery Lodge, the puddingstone from his private collection was laid down in the South Mill Arts garden.

Mr Wally Wright who was also the Honorary President of Stortford History Society passed away on 1^st June 2022. He massively contributed to the Stortford Museum, History Society and Sawbridgeworth history in general.

Thanks to his son, Ivan Wright, we are pleased to have this amazing example of this typical Hertfordshire type of so-called plum-pudding stone that will keep his memory alive for eternity.
