Our 2025 Technical Workshop Week took place from the 28th July until the 2nd August and proved to be a successful week of education and inspiration.

With practical learning opportunities, the annual Technical Workshop Week, run by the South Mill Arts Technical team, is the perfect chance for those interested in technical theatre (or those who are just curious) to develop their interest and knowledge.

Throughout the week, the students got stuck in to hands-on learning with technical equipment and informational sessions, learning all about what it takes to run a show smoothly, from programming to show day.

The week culminated with the students putting their new skills to the test by technically operating two amazing live music events!

The 1st August saw “Broadway & Beyond with Alex Outlaw”, followed by “An evening with Etta and Nathan” on the 2nd. With two shows full of soulful ballads to show-stopping anthems performed to a captivated audience, the students worked together to successfully run the shows from start to finish.
